Avatar Showcase Special - Saki Episode of Side A #14

I make a lot of avatars. I started with Hayate the Combat Butler, getting captivated by my nameless foodgirl, eventually expanding my efforts to other characters, and finally other series. I have made many more avatars than I am ever going to use, but that never stops me from making more.

This week I present the avatars from the latest Saki Side A episode. This time, Arata takes the front, with Ako and the girls from Shindouji featuring heavily also.



ACHIGA GIRLS' ACADEMY

Ako Atarashi
Probably the strongest natural player at Achiga Girls' Academy, Ako relies on her skills rather than any special power when playing.









Arata Sagimori
The club representitive of Achiga, Arata too plays mahjong without relying on powers. Unlike Ako however, her playstyle leads her to formulate hands that relate to bowling terms, with her family running a bowling alley. She has great respect for the club advisor Harue, and has looked to her as a role model since she watched Harue playing ten years ago.









Harue Akado
The club advisor and coach for the Achiga team. Harue lost in the semifinals of the nationals ten years ago, and after that retires from competitive mahjong, until she's drawn back to a corporate team, and eventually to coach the Achiga team.







Shizuno Takakamo
The main character of Side A, Shizuno is energetic and resilient. She's the main driving force behind the reformation of the Mahjong club at Achiga. It is implied that she does have some special power, with even Koromo being wary of it, but the ability has yet to be revealed.







SENRIYAMA GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL

Hiroko Funakubo
Funa-Q, as she is known, is the stats-champion of Senriyama. She has a sixth sense for figuring out playstyles and trends, and is always willing to take advantage of a weakness.







Masae Atago
Hiroko's aunt and coach to the Senriyama team.







Sera Eguchi
A tomboy who refuses to wear girls clothes when she's not being forced to wear them during a match. Her playstyle is to build up to big hands, rather than go for quick points.







SHINDOUJI GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL

Himeko Tsuruta
Shindouji's fifth player, and the second half of their double-ace tagteam. When handed a key from Mairu's sister ability, Himeko can use it in the right round to 'unlock' a valuable hand. She wears overly long sleeves.









Hitomi Ezaki
Hitomi is the third best player at shindouji, but has no special power or ability. She is always blaming bad politics for bad things that happen.








Kirame Hanada
The marvelous fifth best player in the Shindouji team, but not the fifth best player at Shindouji. Whilst not having an offensive power, her defensive power of 'never pointless' means that she never scores below zero points in a game. She went to the same middle school as Yuuki and Nodoka, and finds everything Subara!







Mairu Shirouzu
Shindouji's fourth player, and the first half of their linked aces. Mairu is able to reserve hands for Himeko to cash in in later, but she has to limit the points she scores before the hand begins.









Yoshiko Yasukouchi
The fourth best player at Shindouji, Yoshiko has a relatively normal playstyle.







SHIRAITODAI HIGH SCHOOL

Awai Oohoshi
The new first year to be feared. Due to the apparant strength of her ability, she's often cheeky to her upperclassmen, but clearly shows a lot of affection for Teru.







Seiko Matano
Agressive but weakest player from Shiraitodai who relies on calling tiles to win hands, doing so by fishing for tiles from the discard pile, also called the pond.







Takami Shibuya
The calm and elegant third player of Shindouji. Her ability allows her to manipulate the tiles she starts with in the final hand of a match. Since her ability gets more powerful the longer the match goes on, players try to avoid any dealer repeats.







Teru Miyanaga
The titular Saki's elder sister. She appears to be be quiet and calm, but is a fierce and powerful player. One of her powers is to forsee the abilities and playstyles of other players.







KIYOSUMI HIGH SCHOOL

Nodoka Haramura
The big breasted beauty of Kiyosumi, and the face behind the online mahjong superstar.







Saki Miyanaga
The titular character, even when she's only a minor character who appears a few times. She started playing again after learning that mahjong can be fun, and wants to play against her sister, who she's not seen in years.







RYUUMONBUCHI HIGH SCHOOL

Hajime Kunihiro
Proving that handcuffs and insanely revealing clothes are cool, Hajime is much more level-headed than her wardrobe suggests.







Koromo Amae
Most definitly not a child... but very childlike demon of Ryuumonbuchi.







OTHERS

Hatsuse Okahashi
Ako's friend from her middle school.







Yae Kobashiri
Hand operated drill who is clearly tsundere towards the Achiga team.
